What is Thermal Screening?
Any object with temperatures above zero emits a detectable amount of radiation. A thermal camera converts IR radiation into greyscale values and matches greyscale values to temperature values through an algorithm mode. Thermal cameras with high temperature accuracy can help detect elevated body temperatures which may indicate the presence of a fever. Thermal cameras can be used for the fever screening of travelers, shoppers, and office workers.

So, GDPR doesn’t apply if the end-user only uses the temperature screening solution and doesn’t combine this solution with other identification/video technique processes
